Using Packaging Wisely

Emba-Protec: The sustainability of our products, as exemplified by our Emba-Quick FL181206ECQ for packaging dimensions of 180 x 120 x 60 mm (L x W x H).

2)CO2 footprint of crumpled paper,CO2 equivalents per metric ton of corrugated cardboard packaging, 609 kg
3)CO2 footprint of PE film,CO2 equivalents per metric ton of corrugated cardboard packaging, 2,744 kg

Waste Disposal and Recycling

In the example shown, the film content is approximately 3%. This means our packaging is made of a single material. What does this mean for you:
You do not need to—and should not—separate the film from the packaging. Our packaging should be disposed of as waste paper without being separated. Only then can 100% recycling be guaranteed.

Why?
Your packaging is pulped during the production of corrugated base paper. The paper fibers are separated from the film in a pulper. The film is skimmed off and sent for recycling or direct disposal. This ensures that no film components end up in the environment.

Packaging from Emba—all-around efficient and sustainable packaging Emba-Protec—we produce sustainable packaging in a sustainable company. We save 90,000 kgof CO2 equivalentsannually when using the Emba-Quick packaging material mentioned above, compared to companies without similar energy generation and grid feed-in.

In our test setup, using the Emba products mentioned above saves you over 35% inCO2 emissions per metric ton of packaging material compared to using a corrugated cardboard box with bubble wrap to protect the contents.
